Edward C. Hummell

Edward C. Hummell’s journey toward higher education began in the late ‘70s while residing in the Upper Keys due to work. In the pursuit of a college education in the ’80s, despite work commitments across the Florida Keys, Mr. Hummell dedicated himself to attending the CFK campus in Key West, the Upper Keys, and the Middle Keys. Juggling work and studies, Mr. Hummell earned his AA Degree in 1986, traversing the Overseas Highway weekly for two years. Subsequently, he continued this dedication, earning his BA Degree in 1989 while traveling the ’18 Mile Stretch’. This scholarship stands as a token of gratitude for the opportunities afforded during those transformative years for Mr. Hummell.
