Mr. Patrick Tierney

Mr. Patrick Tierney was born and raised in North Miami, Florida. As a graduate of Florida State University, he pursued his passion for plants and landscaping, which led him to a long and prosperous career throughout South Florida and the Florida Keys. He moved to Key West about 1990 and continued creating alluring gardens in the area where he received many accolades and recognitions for his work in the community. Even in death, Patrick Tierney is helping to make our CFK Community a better place by providing the Patrick Tierney Scholarship for students who possess a passion for botanical and landscaping activities.

As stated in the Key West Citizen, “Whatever he touched with his creativity and love made the world greener and more beautiful. Everyone who came in contact with him learned from his never-ending knowledge and passion for life. His humor and joking will always be remembered. Keep Patrick in your heart and the world greener. As Pat always said, “Keep growing.””
