Lower Keys Women's Club Nursing Scholarship
Fall 2025
The Lower Keys Women’s Club provides scholarships to Monroe County, degree-seeking nursing students accepted into The College of the Florida Keys Nursing Program. Eligible students must have a complete 2025-26 FAFSA, a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and maintain standards of satisfactory academic progress. Award is for $500 and students must meet a minimum of 8cr hours for the award term. Scholarship monies can be used toward tuition and fees at The College of the Florida Keys for the upcoming semester.
Scholarship Recipients are also required to:
1. Confirm registration in courses at The College of the Florida Keys in the term in which the scholarship is to be used.
2. Complete a minimum of 10 hours of volunteer service with the Lower Keys Women’s Club or with a Lower Keys Women’s Club approved charity. Approval must be received prior to hours being served. Charity hours approved by CFK and not by the LKWC will not be applied towards the 10 required volunteer hours for the scholarship. Any applicant who receives the scholarship and does not complete the volunteer hours will not be eligible for any further scholarships from the the Lower Keys Women’s Club.
3. Attend the Annual College of the Florida Keys Scholarship Recipient & Donor Social at the Tennessee Williams Theatre on the William A. Seeker Campus in Key West during the Fall semester. The event will occur on Tuesday, September 30th, 2025. Invitations will be distributed closer to the event.
4. Demonstrate and maintain the scholarship criteria and requirements.
The Foundation reserves the right to withdraw or modify the student’s award based on the student’s fulfillment of required scholarship criteria.

- Is it your intention to remain in Monroe County?
- Please request a reference from an instructor that you have had in the past 2 years.
- Please request a second reference from someone who has known you for two or more years. (Reference cannot be a relative).
