Helios Education Foundation First Generation Scholarship

SPRING 2026

The Helios Education Foundation First Generation in College program is a need-based program available to degree-seeking, Florida resident, undergraduate students who meet the following criteria:
1. both of whose parents did not complete a baccalaureate degree, or
2. who resided with and received support from only one parent/guardian who did not earn a baccalaureate degree.

Funds for your scholarship were made available through a generous grant from the Helios Education Foundation managed through The Florida College System Foundation.

Eligible students must have a complete 2025-26 FAFSA and meet standards of satisfactory academic progress. Award is up to $500 and students must satisfy a minimum of 6cr hours for the award term. Scholarship monies can be used toward tuition and fees at The College of the Florida Keys for the upcoming semester.

Scholarship Recipients are also required to:

1. Confirm registration in courses at The College of the Florida Keys in the term in which the scholarship is to be used.
2. Complete a minimum of 4 hours of volunteer service with the donor and/or The College of the Florida Keys Foundation if requested. (Details will be sent separately if/when applicable.)
3. Attend the annual CFK Scholarship Social at the Tennessee Williams Theatre on the William A. Seeker Campus in Key West during the Fall semester. The event typically occurs in September, and details will be distributed when confirmed.
4. Demonstrate and maintain the scholarship criteria and requirements.

The Foundation reserves the right to withdraw or modify the student’s award based on the student’s fulfillment of required scholarship criteria.
