Nextgen Opportunity for Workforce Scholarship (NOW)
FALL 2026
The Nextgen Opportunity Workforce (NOW) program supports dedicated students from the Middle and Upper Keys who are pursuing career technical education and workforce training programs. This full-cost scholarship covers tuition, fees, and other educational expenses, allowing recipients to focus entirely on completing their programs. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is not required to apply, making this opportunity accessible to all students. Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to serving the Florida Keys community long-term.

General Criteria for NOW program:
· Must be a senior at Marathon High School (MHS) or Coral Shores High School (CSHS) at the time of application.
· Must demonstrate a commitment to serving the Florida Keys community.
· Must enroll in an eligible program at CFK in the fall semester following high school graduation.
· Must maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout the program.
· Must develop and adhere to an academic plan with guidance from an academic advisor to ensure completion within 150% of the time (e.g., a 2-year program must be finished in 3 years).
Scholarship Recipients are also required to:
1. Confirm registration in courses at The College of the Florida Keys in the term in which the scholarship is to be used.
2. Attend the annual CFK Scholarship Social at the Tennessee Williams Theatre on the William A. Seeker Campus in Key West during the Fall semester.  The event typically occurs in September, and details will be distributed when confirmed.
3. Demonstrate and maintain the scholarship criteria and requirements.
The Foundation reserves the right to withdraw or modify the student’s award based on the student’s fulfillment of required scholarship criteria.
