Beyond The Badge Scholarship

SUMMER 2026

The Beyond the Badge Scholarship was established to support students at The College of the Florida Keys who are enrolled in the Basic Law Enforcement Academy at the Upper Keys Center ONLY and not sponsored. Eligible applicants must be Florida residents for tuition purposes, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and demonstrate financial need by completing the 2026–27 FAFSA. Students must also be making satisfactory academic progress.

One $6,000 scholarship and six $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. This award may be applied toward tuition and fees or other required educational expenses.

Scholarship Recipients are also required to:

1. Confirm registration in courses at CFK in the term in which the scholarship is to be used.
2. Complete a minimum of 4 hours of volunteer service to the donor and/or CFK Foundation if requested. (Details will be sent separately if/when applicable.)
3. Attend the annual CFK Scholarship Social at the Tennessee Williams Theatre on the William A. Seeker Campus in Key West during the fall semester. The event will occur on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. Invitations will be distributed closer to the event.
4. Demonstrate and maintain the scholarship criteria and requirements.
