Open Door Grant

Fall 2026

The Open Door Grant provides financial assistance to eligible Florida residents enrolled in workforce and career education programs at the College of the Florida Keys. Students enrolled in bachelor’s degree programs or the Associate in Arts (A.A.) program are not eligible for funding. Eligibility is limited to approved programs.

Subject to funding availability, the grant may cover up to 100% of tuition and fees, examination costs, books, and required supplies after all eligible federal, state, institutional, and third-party aid has been applied. Recipients may also be eligible to receive a stipend of up to $1,500 per academic year to assist with other educational expenses included in the cost of attendance.

Funding is limited, and awards are not guaranteed. Funds will be credited to student accounts only after eligibility has been confirmed, enrollment has been verified, and all other financial aid has been reviewed and processed by the Financial Aid Office at the College of the Florida Keys.
