Bank of America Dream Makers First Generation in College Scholarship
Spring 2027
The Bank of America Dream Makers First Generation in College Scholarship is a need-based program available to degree-seeking CFK students who meet the following criteria:
1. both parents did not complete a baccalaureate degree, or
2. resided with and received support from only one parent/guardian who did not earn a baccalaureate degree.
The Bank of America Dream Makers First Generation in College Scholarship was established through a major gift from Bank of America to the Florida College System Foundation. These awards are made possible through earnings generated from the resulting Endowment.
Eligible students must have a complete 2026-27 FAFSA and meet standards of satisfactory academic progress. Seven scholarships of $620 each will be awarded for the Spring 2027 term. Scholarship monies can be used toward tuition and fees at CFK for the upcoming semester.
Scholarship Recipients are also required to:
1. Confirm registration in courses at The College of the Florida Keys in the term in which the scholarship is to be used.
2. Complete a minimum of 4 hours of volunteer service with the donor and/or The College of the Florida Keys Foundation if requested. (Details will be sent separately if/when applicable.)
3. Attend the annual CFK Scholarship Social in Key West during the Fall semester. The event typically occurs in September, and details will be distributed when confirmed.
4. Demonstrate and maintain the scholarship criteria and requirements.
The Foundation reserves the right to withdraw or modify the student’s award based on the student’s fulfillment of required scholarship criteria.
