Nettie Lawson Oglesbee Nursing Scholarship
Spring 2027
The Nettie Lawson Oglesbee Nursing Scholarship awards $500 to degree-seeking nursing students accepted into either the ASN or BSN program at The College of the Florida Keys. Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens, maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA, and be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours. Students must also have a completed 2026-27 FAFSA and be making satisfactory academic progress. Only non-traditional students are eligible. Scholarship funds may be applied toward tuition and fees at The College of the Florida Keys for the upcoming Spring 2027 semester.
Scholarship recipients are also required to:
1. Confirm registration in courses at The College of the Florida Keys in the term in which the scholarship is to be used.
2. Complete a minimum of 4 hours of volunteer service with the donor and/or The College of the Florida Keys Foundation if requested. (Details will be sent separately if/when applicable.)
3. Attend the annual CFK Scholarship Social in Key West during the Fall semester. The event typically occurs in September, and details will be distributed when confirmed.
4. Demonstrate and maintain the scholarship criteria and requirements.
The Foundation reserves the right to withdraw or modify the student’s award based on the student’s fulfillment of required scholarship criteria.
